With spring finally here, the OHHS Girls’ Softball season has finally begun.

Despite the delays for conditioning earlier in the season due to the weather, the Lady Clippers are determined to have a successful season.

”Well, even though it’s early in the season, we still need to work on team unity,” says one of the two team captains, Tameka Taylor. Tameka, who has been a part of the Girls’ Varsity Softball Team for three years, admits to being very excited about being picked for the captain position. Even though it’s a constant pressure to set an example, she’s up for the challenge. “It would be nice to make it past the first round of playoffs,” Tameka adds when asked about her goals for the team this year.

Even though the Clippers only won one game last year, the team is very confident that this year will be one for the record books. The coach has introduced new techiques that are sure to help the team prosper.

”We can bunt!” says Tameka Taylor. This is only the beginning for our Lady Clippers, but with their dedication and hard work, their season will be great!
