Valentine’s Day Gift Ideas

February 14^th is right around the corner and for those that have significant others or maybe even a crush, this is the best time to express how you really feel.  Gifts like holiday cards, balloons and chocolate are nice but you’d be better off presenting her (or him) with a large beautiful bouquet of flowers, in her favorite color, or a massage at a day spa, including a manicure, pedicure, and a facial.  If you’re the creative sensitive type try a self-made card with a poem straight from the heart, and a Teddy Bear with his (or her) name engraved.  However, the number one gift – in my opinion – is jewelry.  Remember the old adage, ‘Diamonds are a girl’s/guy’s best friend.’    You can never go wrong with a nice charm bracelet or necklace, preferably lit up with her birthstone.   If you really want to score points, see tears of joy, and just overall hit the ball out of the park, buy her a diamond ring…….yes, I said diamond; but of course, if you’re on a tight budget, and you still want to fulfill her dreams, there’s always the CZ (cubic zirconium)…..who has to know.  There are many high-end and not so high end stores that can help to make this happen, like Nordstrom, Urban Outfitters, and Lord & Taylor.  You can also check out the jewelers in Georgetown; maybe you can strike a good deal.
