American Idol Season 9 Preview

American idol is back with its 9th season. And people have wondered, with Paula Abdul gone, will the show still lose its charm? Well guess what? It hasn’t. The show is still full of the weirdest and most memorable auditions, Simon is still rude when it comes to judging, and well you know how the show goes.

As of right now the auditions are being judged by guest judges alongside Kara, Randy, and Simon. Ellen Degeneres is to replace Paula. I have been catching up with the season like always and may I add that it has been a wild adventure. I wanted to share with you the wildest auditions of the season. These auditions were taken from my point of view and from the official American idol site, American idol.com.

The show kicked of its 9^th season in the city of Boston. Thousands of hopefuls lined up to get their chance to audition in front of the judges. Janet McNamara’s improvement on an Idol karaoke game caused her to believe she was ready to face the judges in the flesh. The real life Simon wasn’t as kind as virtual Simon, and the judges sent her home without a golden ticket. What she did was stick out a finger and blurt out some curse words.

Claiming to sound like a cross between Chris Brown and the Eagles, Derek Hilton auditioned for the judges with a voice Simon compared to “an eagle.” Andrew Fenlon came into the audition room in a grumpy mood. He wasted his time and attitude because the judges sent him home as well without no golden ticket. Police officer Bryan Walker was one of the fortunate ones to make it to Hollywood. Lamar Royal couldn’t believe the judges told him “no.” He had a huge tantrum and cursed everyone out including guest judge Mary J. Blige. Tennessee’s Vanessa Wolfe earned a golden ticket with her authentic country voice. Sixty-two year old General Larry Platt sang his original song, “Pants on the Ground,” which is getting him tons of attention. Matt Lawrence was there to make up for his past, and he made his family proud when he earned a golden ticket.

More auditions are coming up, and we well just have to wait and see what more this season will bring us.
